The RCME Community Program supports physicians practising in Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) communities to plan and fund shared learning that meets local needs.

What is the RCME Community Program?
Funded by the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues and managed by RCCbc, the RCME Community Program provides funding and implementation support to groups of physicians living and delivering care in Rural Subsidiary Agreement communities to address their collective learning needs. RCME Community Program funding supports family physicians, specialists and interprofessional learning.
Cowichan Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) Committee
In July 2019, the JSC approved the Community RCME Program, resulting in physician-driven innovation in Community RCME. A few months later, the Cowichan Continuing Professional Development (CCPD) Committee formed so that decision making for the use of RCME funds will be done by our local physicians.
